Radiesse®

What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is a bio-stimulating injection that serves as a supportive framework beneath the skin, offering structural support and triggering collagen production. This treatment is effective in tackling wrinkles, creases, hollow regions, and the decline in collagen and facial fullness. Comprised of tiny calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, Radiesse® mirrors substances naturally found in the body. It's safe, non-allergenic, and seamlessly integrates with your body's own tissues.

Which areas can be treated?

  • Face: Radiesse® targets facial wrinkles such as smile lines, marionette lines, pe-jowl folds, chin wrinkles, corners of the mouth and areas of fat loss in the face.

  • Hands: Radiesse® can enhance the appearance of hands by restoring volume loss, which contributes to the signs of ageing. Minimises the visibility of veins and tendons.

  • Jawline & Neck: Radiesse® is remarkably effective for moderate to severe jawline contour, and is one of the most effective products in the industry for enhancing this specific area.

How long till I see results?

Typically, you'll notice initial changes right after receiving Radiesse®, with the full effects becoming apparent over a few weeks. Many experience lasting benefits for up to a year before considering another session, although individual outcomes can differ.

What can I expect from a treatment session?

Radiesse® gets precisely injected into targeted areas of concern. You might feel a slight pinch at the injection site, but the procedure is generally low in discomfort. Recovery is quick, allowing you to resume your usual activities on the same day. You can resume exercise within 24-48 hours post-treatment.

Preparing for Radiesse®:

Before you receive Radiesse® treatment, you will have a free complimentary consultation with our Registered Nurse regarding any medications you are currently taking, past treatments/injectables and also your general health. Some medications like blood thinners or anti-inflammatories can cause bleeding or bruising at the location of treatment.

Are there any short-term side effects?

Temporary redness, bruising, swelling, and tenderness could occur at the treated site. Using an ice pack on the area post-treatment is the recommended approach. Should these side effects persist, reaching out to your practitioner is advisable.

Contraindications:

You should not use RADIESSE® if you have an allergy to any component of the product, if you have a history of severe allergies, if you have a bleeding disorder, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should not use RADIESSE® if you have an allergy to lidocaine or medicines like it.
